Who we are
My Trade Leads ("we", "us", "our") operates the mytradeleads.com website. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
What we collect
- Account information — Your email address, provided when you sign in via our authentication provider (Hanko, based in the EU).
- Search data — The trades and locations you search for, and the leads generated from those searches.
- Payment data — Processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. We store a record of credit purchases.
- Usage data — Basic server logs including timestamps and request metadata for debugging and security.
What we don't collect
- We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing.
- We do not store passwords — authentication is handled by Hanko using passwordless methods.
How we use your data
- To provide the lead generation service you signed up for.
- To process payments and manage your credit balance.
- To send you lead alerts if you opt in (planned feature).
- To improve the service and fix bugs.
Third-party services
- Hanko (Germany) — Authentication. Stores your email and session data. Their privacy policy.
- Stripe (US, EU processing available) — Payment processing. Their privacy policy.
- Anthropic (US) — AI processing for lead matching. Post text from public social media posts is sent to their API for scoring. No personal data about you is sent.
- MongoDB — Database hosting for search results and credit balances.
Data from social media
The leads we surface are from publicly visible social media posts and groups. We do not access private groups, private profiles, or any data that is not already publicly available. We do not scrape personal data — we search for posts where people are publicly requesting services.
Data retention
- Account data is retained while your account is active.
- Search results and leads are retained for 90 days, then automatically deleted.
- Payment records are retained as required by UK tax law (6 years).

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Request correction or deletion of your data
- Export your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time
